Great Victoria Events Happening this Fall

Grab a hot chocolate or pumpkin spiced latte as the cool, as the crisp Fall air starts to descend upon Victoria, BC. Throughout Victoria, the lush green vegetation begins to turn a multitude of shades of red and gold as the leaves are swept into a prismatic torrent of colour that swirls around making it one of the most beautiful places to visit in the fall.

Rifflandia 2017 in Victoria, BCRifflandia – September 14-17

4 days filled with 150 performances at over 20 venues, this festival is Victoria’s largest music and arts event. For the 10th year, this multi-venue hit will take over the downtown core with a diverse line-up.

Don’t forget to check out their list of partners for great offers. Local businesses are offering deals during the week leading up to and including during the festival to wristband wearers.

While kids are allowed into the day concerts, all evening concerts are 19+.

Great Canadian Beer Festival – September 8-9

Do you love beer? Then this festival is for you! Since 1993, the Great Canadian Beer Festival has been featuring beers from Canadian breweries and around the world. You have the option of sampling beer and cider from more than 60 breweries. Your ticket includes your taster glass, program and BC Transit Get Home Safe bus ticket.

Victoria International Wine Festival – September 22-23

Meant to build the participants’ appreciation of wine, this festival offers 5 seminars to expand your knowledge in your area of interest.

Ticket holders will be offered a wine glass and brochure. Mill about chatting with sommeliers and sample some of the over 300 wines from around the world.

Art of the Cocktail – October 14

If you’re up for a day trip, check out Salt Spring Island. With over 450 varieties of organic apples, you can learn about Salt Spring Island’s apple history dating back to 1860 at the 18th annual Salt Spring Island Apple Festival.

The Apple Festival map is released at 9am and you’ll have your pick of 20 participating farms you can add to your tour!

Vancouver Island Corn Maze – September 8 – October 29

10km of trails cut through 14 acres of corn. Can you find your way out? There’s fun at the Pendray Farms for all ages with a treasure hunt, a kids’ maze, and a corn sandbox with six tonnes of corn kernels!

The Urbacity Challenge – September 24

Teams will race around Victoria in an epic scavenger hunt that will test both their mental and physical abilities with obstacle courses, brain teasers, and fitness tests. Proceeds go towards the Island Prostate Centre.

There are 3 categories you can enter: Fun, Fierce, and Face-Off.

Fun: Teams of 2 compete on a shorter course with brain teasers and less fitness challenges. This is a great option for families and casual racers of all ages and fitness levels.

Fierce: Teams of 2 take on a longer course with more fitness challenges combined with some brain-teasers. This is the best option for racers!

Face-Off: Teams of 4 work together to solve puzzles, games, and fitness challenges designed around collaboration. This is a perfect option for corporations looking to build cooperation among their team members.
